Polonia Around the World is an example of Poles emigrating to Australia, Canada, Great Britain, Sweden, Germany, Netherlands, South Africa, Brazil....., seeking political, religious and economic freedom. Sister Mary Modesta, my sixth grade teacher was transferred to Brazil to prepare young Brazilian women to become Felician nuns . Like so many Polish immigrants before her she had to learn another language, Portuguese. There are many sources.
