SECOND SUNDAY OF EASTER –
DIVINE MERCY SUNDAY
FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK
Today is the 2nd Sunday of Easter also known as “Divine Mercy Sunday.” The message of the Divine Mercy is quite
clear. It is that God loves us. For He wants us to recognize that His mercy
is greater than our sins, so that we will call upon Him with trust, receive His
mercy and let it flow through us to others.
What are we to do?
1.
Ask for
God’s mercy. God wants us to approach Him constantly in
prayer.
2.
Be merciful. He
wants us to extend love & forgiveness to others just as He does to us.
3.
Trust in
Jesus completely. God wants us to know that the more we trust
in Jesus, the more we will receive His grace.
This message and
devotion to Jesus, as the Divine Mercy, is based on the writings of Sister Saint Faustina Kowalska, who wrote a
diary, recording the revelations she received about God’s mercy. Therefore each day, spend time in learning
more about the mercy of God, trust in Jesus and live your life as Christ is
merciful to you – saying Jesus, I trust in you!
