TIME
Missionary Coop Father Desmond Tynan is visiting today from the Society of Saint James. He will give
us some insight into the state of the missions in South America. The Society, founded by Cardinal Cushing in
1958, has about forty members serving in Peru, Bolivia and Ecuador. Each year a few of the members come north to
spread the word about their missionary work and to appeal for donations. Please be as generous as your means
allow. For more information on the

St. Josephs Fund Raising Appeal thus far weve collected $691,962.20 in pledges and cash
donations from 950 donors. The beautiful memorial Restoration Plaque
listing the names of people donating $1000 or more on in loving memory of
someone is now in place on the Mechanic Street side wall.
Sacred Heart Society is sponsoring a bus trip to the National
Shrine of Our Lady of Częstochowa in Doylestown, Pa. on Sunday, September
28, 2008. The bus will depart from St.
Josephs rectory at 9:30 AM and will return for home at 4:15 PM. Cost is $30. For reservations, please contact Susan Carr at (856) 547-8583.
The Polish American Citizens Club is sponsoring their annual Family Picnic at
Soupy Island, National Park, NJ. on Saturday, August 16th 1 PM-6PM
rain or shine. Ethnic food, beverages,
prizes, dancing, swim pools, kid amusements, pavilions and music by The Polka
Family Band will make it an enjoyable afternoon. Ticket prices: $25 for adults and $6 for children under 16
