FIFTEENTH SUNDAY IN ORDINERY
TIME
FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK
Our Gospel today of the Good Samaritan teaches us what it
means to be a Christian.
We are called to respond with merciful
love to the needs of others. This
includes all
people – those who we love and those we
find difficult to love.
What seems like a nice little
story is actually quite a radical call to love one another.
If we were to ask the Lord Jesus this
very day the same question the scholar asked:
“And who is my neighbor?”
What do you think the
Lord would say?
The answer – Who
is your neighbor?
St. Joseph’s Restoration Fund Raising Appeal – we have collected $623,444.73 in
pledges and cash donations
from 862 donors. Have
we received your donation yet?
We need everyone in the
parish and those affiliated with our
parish to contribute to our
appeal. Please consider pledging at least $1000 over
a 3-year period toward the
restoration of our church. Your tax deductible donation can be given in
your name or “In
Memory” of loved ones. Your positive response will be acknowledged
on a special
plaque which will be placed
in the church. Thank you for your
financial support.
St. Joseph’s Seniors – are sponsoring
a restaurant gift certificate raffle during the months
of July, August and
September. Two prizes worth $50 each
will be chanced off on
Sunday, September 16, 2007
after High Mass. The restaurants are
Olive Garden and
Red Lobster. Cost is $2 each or 3 for $5. Chances will be sold after all Masses and by
members
of the Senior Center. Please support this fund-raising event to
help our church.

& Reunion to take place on Church grounds, 4th & Division
(also called Ramona
Gonzalez) Streets today, July 15th. Mass will be celebrated at

by the traditional Procession and Reunion.
A wide selection of
Italian and Hispanic foods
will be available all afternoon. Rain
or Shine – no rain date. For

of Mt. Carmel & Fatima Rectory (856) 541-7618.
Missionary Cooperative Plan – this weekend July
14 & 15 the Little Servant
Sisters of
the Immaculate Conception
will be here to take up the annual collection for the Missionary
Co-Op of the Diocese of Camden. Please be as generous as possible – God will

abundantly.
