Luncheon (Kolacja Oplatkowa)
Tickets for the annual Wafer Luncheon
(Kolacja Oplatkowa) to be held on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 12 noon in the Lower
Parish Hall, 1010 Liberty Street, are available after 10:30 Mass or by
phone. To order tickets and/or to
reserve a table for 8 or 10, call Pat Kwoka at 856-310-1783. No tickets will be sold at the door, and the
deadline for purchasing tickets is January 1st. The cost is $25 per person, and checks should be made payable to
the Rosary Society.

EXTRAORDINARY
NATIVITY DISPLAY!!!
In
1989, Monsignor Edward Bucia commissioned a highly original animated Christmas
display which illustrates parts of Polish history. It is one of only four such
wooden displays in the world, the other three being in Poland. Large enough to
fill half a room, it consists of a procession of historical figures which are
connected to a moving track. Kings, musicians, mountaineers, and shepherds
glide by the Christ in His manger, and
each traveler salutes Him in a different manner: by raising a sword, tipping a
hat, blowing a whistle, or beating a drum. Please stop by the Nativity Room,
located on the main floor of the school building. Go to the last room on the
left to see this beautiful Christmas display. The Nativity can be also viewed
on our website http://www.stjosephscamdennj.org.
The
Rosary Society is selling fleece, machine washable, red or white scarves, size
40”x7”. The scarf features an embroidered emblem of a Polish Falcon along with
Saint Joseph’s Church inscribed below it. The scarves are available for
purchase after all Masses for a price of $12.00.
