The Marcella Kochanski-Sembrich** Female Chorus invites everyone to celebrate Christmas at an annual concert (Polish and English Carols) next Sunday, December 11, 2011 at 3 pm. The concert will be held at the Associated Polish Home at 9150 Academy Road. The program will include performances by the chorus, the Adam Mickieiwcz Polish Language School Students and Special Guest Performers. A reception will follow the concert. Wafer Luncheon (Kolacja Oplatkowa)

Tickets for the annual Wafer Luncheon ( Kolacja Oplatkowa- Wigilia) to be held on Sunday, January 8, 2012, 12 noon in the Lower Parish Hall, 1010 Liberty Street, will be available starting Sunday, December 4 after 10:30 Mass or by phone. To order tickets and/or to reserve a table for 8 or 10, call Pat Kwoka at 856-310-1783. No tickets will be sold at the door, and the deadline for purchasing tickets is Wednesday, December 28. The cost is $25 per person, and checks should be made payable to the Rosary Society.

** Malgorzata Komorowska , a musicologist at the The Fryderyk Chopin University of Music in Warsaw, is the author of a long-awaited scholarly biography on the legendary Polish soprano Marcella Sembrich-Kochańska, who was a colleague of Zygmunt Stojowski, entitiled Marcella Sembrich-Kochańska: Życie i Śpiew (publ: ERRATA, Warsaw 2008, 398 pages + CD). Research for this book was made possible thanks to a travel and research grant given by the Kosciuszko Foundation, Inc. in New York in 1994. Her new book, Za kurtyna latPolskie teatry operowe i operetkowe---1918-1939, was released on March 26, 2009.
