THE HOLY FAMILY OF JESUS, MARY & JOSEPH

FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK

As we are on the threshold of a New York---2008---our hearts should be filled with hope and love, knowing that we are not alone, for God “Emmanuel” is with us.  I pray that this New Year will be a year filled with much Health and Happiness and God’s Special Blessing.  Together, let us pray that the Holy Family of Jesus, Mary and Joseph, whose feast we celebrate this weekend, will continue to bless us and our families today, tomorrow and throughout 2008!!

St. Joseph’s Fund Raising Appeal – thus far we’ve collected $659,062.05 in pledges and cash donations

from 888 donors.  Your financial support for this project has been overwhelming.

The beautiful memorial Restoration Plaque listing the names of people donating $1000 or more on “in loving

memory” is now in place.  At our Christmas Midnight Mass we officially dedicated and lighted our plaque and

had a prayer of blessing upon all those who have donated so generously to our church restoration appeal.

There are only a few spots still open on our plaque.

Rosary Society – The annual Wafer Luncheon (Opłatkowa Kolacja) will be held next Sunday,

January 6, 2008 at 12 noon    Sunday, December 30th.  Deadline for tickets is this Sunday, December 30th.

No tickets will be sold at the door.

The History Society is offering a new CD, “Christmas at St. Joseph’s Church”, a live recording of

last year’s Midnight Mass concert.  The price is $20.  Net income will be used for preservation and restoration

of activities of  St. Joseph’s.  The recordings will be available after all the weekend Masses.

Holy Name Meeting – will be held next Saturday, January 5th at 10:30 AM in the Senior Center.

Christmas Offering and Flower Collection Envelopes – are available at the door of the Church.  Your

    donations will be greatly appreciated.

Once again St. Joan of Arc Church in Fairview is holding a 40 hour Prayer Vigil and Fast

Remembrance of those who were killed in Camden City this year.  It will begin at 1PM on Saturday,

December 29th and continue until 5PM on Monday, December 31st.  Anyone is welcome to stop in St. Joan of

Arc Church for prayer any time, day or night during the  vigil.  All the Churches in Camden City are

encouraged to participate.  The designated time slot for our Church of St. Joe’s is on Sunday, December

30th from 4PM-8PM.  Perhaps you can come and spend  some time.
