FIRST SUNDAY OF ADVENT
FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK
The Season of Advent which begins this weekend and
lasts for four weeks marks the beginning
of the Church’s new liturgical year.
As we light the Advent wreath candles each week,
symbolizing Christ the Light of the world
overcoming darkness and warming a cold world, we are called upon
to change and to reform ourselves
and to make straight the way of the Lord in our lives.
And so let us pray for the grace to love and to serve
the Lord in each other. Let us pray for
hope
and peace as we live His message of long ago.

St. Joseph’s
Restoration Fund Raising Appeal – we
have collected $650,822.05 in pledges
and cash
donations from 882 donors. Have we received your donation yet? Your positive response of $1,000 or
more will be acknowledged on a special plaque. This plaque honoring all who have donated
$1,000 or more
to St. Joseph’s Restoration Fund is almost complete. We anticipate that the plaque will be
installed in our
church before the end of the year.
Have your Baby Jesus from
your manger set blessed for Christmas – on the 3rd weekend of Advent,
Saturday, Dec. 15th and Sunday, Dec. 16th,

Bring Him to be blessed at any Mass you attend that weekend. We will have
