EIGHTEENTHG SUNDAY IN ORDINERY
TIME
FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK
Today’s Gospel reading is perhaps one of the most
challenging for us to hear. For we live
in a
society in which the accumulation of
wealth is of utmost importance. Yet as
Christians we need to
balance our material resources in ways
that will ensure a future which provides us with life’s
necessities while living the gospel
mandate to live a life dedicated to making this world a better place.
Today let us pause and consider
what growing rich in God’s eyes is really all about. Are you
using God’s given gifts to build God’s
kingdom in this life?
