EIGHTEENTH SUNDAY IN ORDINARY TIME

 Dear Brothers & Sisters of St. Joseph’s Parish: 

 “When joy is shared with others it becomes greater.”

            On Sunday, July 20th I had the opportunity to share my great joy with you at Holy Mass and at the social meeting in the parish hall, celebrating the 50th Anniversary of my priesthood. I had a most enjoyable experience.

            I would like to express my sincere gratitude to all of you.  My special thanks to Father Ed Lipinski who took the initiative to arrange my anniversary celebration at St. Joseph’s.  Also, thanks to the committee for organizing the reception.

            I thank you for your prayers and your presence.  Because of you, my thanksgiving for my gift of priesthood was even greater.  I am grateful for your friendship, your kind words and your generous gifts.  I will remember each of you in my prayers.

            May God reward you for your KINDNESS to me!

St. Joseph’s Fund Raising Appeal – thus far we’ve collected $691,962.20 in pledges and cash donations from 950 donors.  The beautiful memorial Restoration Plaque listing the names of people donating $1000 or more on “in loving memory” of someone is now in place on the Mechanic Street side wall. 

 

Sacred Heart Society – is sponsoring a bus trip to the National Shrine of Our Lady of Częstochowa in Doylestown, Pa. on Sunday, September 28, 2008.  The bus will depart from St. Joseph’s rectory at 9:30 AM and will return for home at 4:15 PM.  Cost is $30.  For reservations, please contact Susan Carr at (856) 547-8583.

 

Little Servant Sisters of the Immaculate Conception, Cherry Hill, NJ will hold their Annual Country Fair and Gala Polish Festival on their grounds, Sunday, September 7th 11AM – 7 PM.  Homemade Polish, Italian and American foods will be served along with funnel cakes, potato pancakes, hot dogs and beverages.  Day-long entertainment and music for dancing will be provided by the Ambertones and the Dennis Ostopowicz polka band as well as the PKM Dancers.  Please plan to attend this gala event and support the Sisters.

 

A live recording of this year’s Eucharistic Adoration on CD is available after the 10:30 AM Mass for just $20.
