NINETEENTH SUNDAY IN ORDINERY
TIME
FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK
Today we listen to a Gospel story that sounds as if it
belongs more in the Advent Season than in the
middle of our Season of Ordinary
Time. Jesus urges his disciples to be
vigilant, ever ready for his coming
at the end of time. The Church wants to remind us that we must
be vigilant for the coming of Jesus
not only in Advent but at all times and
seasons.
And so we pray to be prepared and watchful as we know not
the day nor the hour.
