            The 2008 House of Charity/Bishop’s Annual Appeal has begun   This year our parish goal is $13,000.  

            Some of you have received a packet of information from Bishop Galante, thanking you for your past support and requesting your continued support again this year.  The monies raised are used to support the various ministries of our Diocese.

            I am hoping that everyone in our parish will contribute something to the House of Charity this year.

If more parishioners contribute, making our parish goal would be easier.  As in the past, if we meet our goal, our parish will receive a check for 10% of our goal; or 75% of the goal if we exceed it.

            In our pews there are House of Charity donation/pledge cards.  Please take them home, fill them out as soon as possible and return them to us either by mailing them or dropping them into the collection basket.  All checks should be made payable to the House of Charity.

            Please remember that no donation to the House of Charity is too small to give!

St. Joseph’s Fund Raising Appeal – thus far we’ve collected $683,325.52 in pledges and cash donations from 930 donors.  The beautiful memorial Restoration Plaque listing the names of people donating $1000 or more on “in loving memory” of someone is now in place on the Mechanic Street side wall. 

 

PACC FAMILY SOCIAL – Saturday, April 26th  7-11 PM at the Runnemede VFW $20 per person.  Call (856) 456-4855 or (856) 546-9218 for tickets and information.

 

Mass Honoring Our Armed Forces – On Sunday, May 18, 2008 at our 10:30 AM Mass, our armed forces will be honored.  We encourage you to invite to this Mass current and former members of the military.  By each door you will find forms on which you may list the names of friends and family currently serving.  Please drop the forms in the collection basket.  Prayers will be offered during the Mass for those named.  Refreshments will be served in the lower parish hall after Mass.  This Mass is in addition to our annual Memorial Day Mass at the St. Joe’s Cemetery on Monday, May 26th at 10 AM.

 

Senior Citizens – monthly meeting next Thursday April 24th at 12 noon in the lower parish hall.

 

Parish Council – meeting next Sunday, April 27th in the lower parish hall after the 10:30 AM Mass.

 

Pray for Our Deceased:  Wanda Binowski – May she rest in peace!

  

2009 Mass Book – is now open for Masses and Sanctuary Lamps.  Please remember your deceased loved ones by having a Mass said for them and/or a Sanctuary Lamp lit in their memory.  Please call the rectory during office hours.

 

Congratulations to Alvin and Connie Wilke as they celebrate their 40th Wedding Anniversary today.
