FOURTH SUNDAY OF EASTER
FROM THE PASTOR’S DESK
The
2008 House of Charity/Bishop’s Annual Appeal is beginning. Our parish received a check for $1,904.00 for exceeding our parish goal
last year. This year our parish goal is 13,000.
We, as a parish, are grateful to Bishop
Joseph Galante for choosing us to remain a parish in the Diocese of
Camden. With the number of parishes to
be cut in half, we now have an even greater responsibility to fund the various
programs of the Diocese and the House of Charity is a major one.
Yes, charity does begin at home and
we have shown our generosity to our own fundraising Restoration Appeal, and now
we have to reach out to others in the Diocese who need our financial support.
I am hoping that everyone in our
parish will contribute something to the House of Charity this year. If more
parishioners contribute, making our parish goal would be easier and it will
show how grateful and supportive we are.
Next weekend we will be actively
soliciting for the House of Charity.
Please remember that no donation is too small to give.
Father
Ed Lipinski
Congratulations to our Holy Name Society who is celebrating their 80th Anniversary today with a brunch at 12:30 PM at The Carriage House Restaurant, 1219 Gibbsboro Rd., Voorhees, NJ. Our best wishes go out to their members as they honor the Holy Name of Jesus.
St. Joseph’s Fund Raising Appeal – thus far we’ve collected $682,275.52 in pledges and cash donations from 929 donors. The beautiful memorial Restoration Plaque listing the names of people donating $1000 or more on “in loving memory” of someone is now in place on the Mechanic Street side wall.
“ Cat’s Meow” replicas of St. Joseph’s Church are available for $25 after 10:30 AM Mass. Benefits the Restoration Fund.
PACC FAMILY SOCIAL – Saturday, April 26th 7-11 PM at the Runnemede VFW $20 per person. Call (856) 456-4855 or (856) 546-9218 for tickets and information.
2009 Mass Book – is now open for Masses and Sanctuary Lamps. Please remember your deceased loved ones by having a Mass said for them and/or a Sanctuary Lamp lit in their memory. Please call the rectory during
office hours.
Travel to Poland via Lot Airlines with Fr. Pawel Kryszkiewicz from May 19th – 30th. For details contact Father (609) 861-3771 or (609) 440-0894.
